You can participate in our popular Neon Seminars,
a 12 hour, 2 or 3 day instruction and hands-on sampler in
neon design and fabrication, conducted personally by
Kustom Lighting owner Bill Buth. Bill has over 25 years
experience in the neon industry, and has earned several
national awards for neon design.
This is not a 'neon school', but rather a 'sample' of what is involved.
Because most people see only the final results of the neon process,
and have little or no concept of what goes into making neon, we will enable you to:
-experience the fundamentals of neon design and fabrication,
neon materials and equipment, and neon glassbending and processing.
-Provide an overview of the 'neon world', and opportunities for a career in neon.
-Provide introductory instruction in glassbending and processing, with hands-on practice.
-We will also talk about the 'business' of neon.
What this seminar will not do:
-make you an accomplished neon glassbender
or guarantee you a job in the neon world.
BUT this seminar will provide you with a big 'sample' of what is actually involved
in neon to help you to decide if you might want to take up neon as a career or hobby.

If you are flying or driving in,
we are located about a mile east of the
main Milwaukee airport (Mitchell Field),
and there are several hotels/motels of all price levels
within a few minutes drive. If you fly into Milwaukee and stay
at a nearby hotel/motel, we can arrange to pick you up
and drop you off each day at no charge.
As part of the instruction, you will receive safety glasses,
and written information to take with you, and a certificate of completion.
Because of insurance regulations,
you must be 18 or older to attend.
Regular classes will consist of no more than 2 people.
Class times are flexible; the 'usual' 12 hour schedule is:
Saturday 10am - 4pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm, OR,
3 weeknights, 6pm to 10pm, BUT
we can possibly work out a schedule that is convenient for you,
depending on available days and nights.
